New member, new builds!
Hey all, my name is Zach, i'm new here, and this is the start of TWO cigar box builds.... one is a bass, and one is a guitar.
i'll post pics as soon as i can but here's the materials i have so far:
1qty 1" x 2" (3/4" x 1.5") x 8' mahogany from Menard's
2qty 3/4" 1/4 round red oak from Lowe's
1 Punch cigar box 11 x 8.5 x 2.25
1 Rocky Patel cigar box 17 x 7.5 x 4.875

okay, so i know there aren't any pictures, and i apologize for that, i'll make sure i upload some tomorrow.....but anyway, i thought i'd share the progress!:
purchased:
volume/tone pots (500k volume, 250k tone)volume/tone knobs for both projects
input jacks for both projects
string ferrules for both projects
wood for the bridges of both projects
wood for clamps to glue the necks together with
ebony fretboards for both projects
a few little dremel bits i needed
progess on the projects and pictures tomorrow! yay!
still left to purchase:
fret wire for the guitarfret saw
inlays
pickups and preamps
tuning machines
