Thanks I owe a lot to these boards.... and this site.... To Grampa, the angel of the neck just felt right with this box as it sits in my lap comfortably... The neck is oak, the fingerboard is reclaimed oak from a floor I ripped out and saved a couple of years ago, the bridge is the same oak. I glued blocks into the inside beneath the sound hole covers and when they are screwed down they hold the lid in place. Again thanks to this board I took my time and tried to do it right.... still some mistakes and I hope I never stop learning from them!

Yes, each build is learning experience for me. Always glad to hear about reclaimed materials being used... I have a bit of a stash myself. Hopefully when your friends learn of your hobby, they will contribute as well. Thankfully a number of my friends take a second look at their "junk", and offer it up before tossing it. Much of it isn't real useful, but the hidden gems can make it worthwhile and worth the sorting. Best of luck going forward, and Merry Christmas!

Nice build, Robert. Interesting angled neck and strainer sound hole covers.
