Anyone have any experience using these? If so, are they worth using? Nothing against actual cigar boxes, just wondering in the event I was looking for something more I could put more of a personal touch on.
Thanks in advance.

There is a full view of it.
Watch for ill fitting boxes. Also, the tops are poplar ply and are a pain to get a good finish on. If you stain, seal first.
There is one made from an aftermarket box. It plays well and the box opens.
This one was made from one of those types of boxes:

im about to use two of them from hobby lobby . one of the big wood ones for an acoustic and the heart shaped card board for a uke for my daughter . Every box or tin i pass i pick up and tap . lol im sure i look crazy . even worse i usualy say oh i bet this will sound great ! haha ive noticed quite a few stares and confused looks . sad thing is all they have to do is ask and ill show them how to build one . info is free . you just have to be brave enough to ask a big tattooed guy standing in a craft store why he is tapping on heart shaped boxes lol .
They work fine, I have used them in the past for exactly what you are referring to.
