I usually tune to G+D+G+b+ - it suits my voice, though i should try more tunings...your vid will inspire me to try! (-;
i got a good tuning by accident some time ago and used it in a song "Windy Dreams and Sparkling Streams" i tuned the GDG strings up a little higher than usual to the next GDG up...there are two GDG's - a low one and a higher one before AEA.. for some reason..? (-:

I saw the vid yesterday, retuned my 4 string and today I`ve had a blast!
Why, oh why, have I had to wait 3 years to find this tuning!
You should be on the front cover of Guitar Hero after this information.
Cheers
Oh my! Thanks!
Dang! I'm new to guitar playing in general, and just getting a handle on my three-stringers. Now I'm going to have to build a four string.
Awesome stuff. THANKKS!!!!!
:)
awesome video. double C and open C minor are both traditional banjo tunings and are some of my favs. lots of tabs and chord shapes out their for both tunings. Fun vid and intuitive.
Awesome! I had no idea! :) Thanks for that info.
I use this same tuning all the time, but in B-flat, and in G, on my two 4-bangers. Very easy to go from all majors to both majors and minors, and it really expands the fretboard for melodic runs in both major and minor pentatonic scales. Thanks for posting this vid! I think I picked up this same tuning from one of Shane's vids about a year ago...
C-G-C-E => C-G-C-Eb => I-V-I-IIIb
