So I recently added a piezo pickup to one of my builds. The installation was relatively easy. The piezo had an adhesive backing, and I just stuck it under the the top of the instrument, as close to the bridge as possible. However, I notice that it does pickup every little sound: scratches, handling, etc. I've seen videos where people have floated their piezo in a pool of hot glue, then also added more glue to the top in an effort to reduce errant noise. I've also looked into the the bottle cap method. I'm curious how others might have dealt with this issue differently--whether there is another alternative.
