That is gorgeous. I'm looking for a four-string I can tune to CBCE. Do you have anything like that? I want to give it to my brother as a gift in September.

Thanks Dan! I am in if you can build me one like Neanderpaul had in that video. I know it a bastardization to all you three-string purists, but it looks like so much fun.

Hi Dan

My brother plays in the Irish Breakfast Band in Alexandria. They are all acoustic, but I think an acoustic CBG may get lost. So yes, I think a 4-string electric would be the right gift? I'm getting one of those joyo gadgets too.

So far I have only built 3 string guitars....I have threatened a few times
to build a 4 string....maybe some day

Also I am making them all electric now.....tell you the truth acoustic
doesn't make much sense on these guitars as they just don't have enough
body...I am mainly making single coil and once in awhile a mini
humbucker...haven't raised the price though...just got more efficient

Sorry--I replied offline to a couple of you, I am getting hang of this Board now, I think.

Thanks, John, that makes sense about the boxes not being so good acoustically. I was hoping for something that you could play with sans amp, just for yourself, you know? Not that it would have a huge sound, but my (limited) experience with electric guitars is that they are pretty unsatisfying unless powered. I've seen a couple CBGs on video that play decently unplugged. So you could practice w/o waking up the whole house?
