a while back I bought this short scale Burswood neck; not sure what it came off of, but it had a 20 inch scale, 19 frets and everything needed to simply bolt it on to something. I didn't want to build a junior guitar, so I look around at what instruments can have a 20 inch scale and I came across the Tenor Banjo and the Ukulele Bass; same scale length just different stringing, thought Banjo would be better though.

So I spent a couple hours out in the sun and got this thing built, big deep tin so it would be resonant, a single piezo and volume pot, a length of 2x1 to mount the neck and bridge on and a top loading strat bridge. visually it all came out looking very nice, then I run into a problem.

I had bought a set of strings for it, but neglected to check if they were ball or loop ended and ened up with loop ended. I don't know if anyone has tried putting loop ends on a strat top loader, but in short it doesn't work, so gonna have to wait on the new string to arrive, until then, what you think.
