I discovered a little trick yesterday for adjusting neck angle. See attached pic (sorry, my phone won't allow inserting into the post).
I used a little block as a fulcrum and two screws to hold the angle. By adjusting each screw I can fine tune the angle of the neck and the action. This is useful if you don't want to alter the bridge or nut height for whatever reason. Next time I will make the adjusting screws external so I can do it after stringing.
I didn't use a body end scarf joint. I just planed an angle into the tail so the thru neck would not contact the lid.

Just stick on of these in the neck through and drill a hole up through the bottom of the box and bottom brace for the adjusting bolt http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=363&site=ROCKLER
Yep, I recon that would work well.
