I'll try to post pictures after class tonight, but a co worker said that his neighbor was throwing out this CBG. The headstock has a W burned into it. It's a 3 stringer, fretted, and it has a oak neck with poplar fret board. Any idea who made this? LIke I said, I will post pictures when I can for better clarifications, but if anyone knows of a builder that puts W's in the headstock please let me know. I'll just enjoy playing my free CBG for now though.

It is a Weeklyhouse, I have two of them, a 3 string and a four. They have pine necks and poplar fret boards. They are made in Ohio by a fellow who sells them on ebay. He usually has 10 or so on there. Mine aren't fancy ( basic old time CBGs) but they do play well and the electrics are good through an amp. The actions are set high for slide so you have to play with the intonation a bit for using your fingers.
Thank you so much man. I just wanted to know who made it. Got into this hobby to play my own instruments, but I'm definitely keeping this one. It's well made, and I think that I'm going to use the construction of it to inspire my next build. I like the high action ( my other CBG is fretless anyway), and the frets will probably be mostly used for accent notes so I think that it's right up my alley.
I can't believe that someone was going to throw this away. My friend that gave it to me told me that it was his neighbor's son's guitar. I'm guessing that his son is going to be pissed when he sees that it's gone.
