Best piezo mount for floating bridge?

Next build is a diatonic or dulci-cbg with a set back neck and floating archtop-style bridge with a bone saddle insert - see my perso page Rough Cut Tom photos: landmark. Was gonna put a rod piezo under the saddle insert but started thinking that might be too removed from the top of the box for best transfer. Then thought about hot gluing the rod under the lid under-saddle or two discs: one under each 'foot' of the bridge. Any experience which would get best transfer and fullest, even tone? Sure appreciate it!
