Yep, fret markers are cool. That neck oughtta shine when you get it finished. I've used plywood for a laminated neck, with the lamination exposed at the back of the neck. I liked the finished product. Post pics when you're done. Welcome back, BW.

Neck is oak and poplar, cut on myter saw. No notching
