Has anybody ever used an app to tune a CBG? If so, which one works best?

G-string on Android works.

I've used G Strings for several years for guitar, bass, banjo, uke and CBG. Works great.

I too use G strings tuner. I also have Guitar Tools. Both on Android and both work well in a quiet room.
On iOS the nicest pay app I have seen is Guitune. I use a freebee Pano Tuner. It is a chromatic tuner that lets you tune anything.

DaTuner Lite (free) on Android is great.  It's interactive so it shows you the note you're playing and whether it's sharp or flat, or not.  It's ideal for getting the intonation right.

if you have Garage Band on your iOS device it has a built in tuner

g string here as well works great
