The pages seems to have gone a bit silent.

So, who is building what? There have to be a lot of "in process" gits out there.

Share the build. Maybe we'll all learn a little bit.

I just ordered some red Brick House boxes. Christmas and the red guitars sell well then.

I finished a major overhaul of L'll Gib which involved filling the opening for the big pickup in the top then re-cutting it to fit a mini-humbucker (humbucker in a single coil package). At the same time, I removed the fretted fret board and replaced it with a fretless. I'm really into sliders these days.

Making a small hole bigger is not problem, Making a big hole smaller is a lot more complicated. It also required refinishing the body.

Since I had it all torn apart, I decided ot add the hardtail bridge instead of the string hanger. Overall, it's a better playing guitar.

Next project is Christmas guitars.......

I’m gathering some cans for canjo’s? I’ve prepped & painted a few cans as well as marked out a handful of necks? I get pretty darn busy during these fall harvest months, so it’s hard to get many builds done. I built Diddley Bo’s last Xmas, doing Canjo’s this year? Happy building :)

Hi Tom T, I wish you hadn't asked that, I just went and checked and found I've got too many jobs backed up. The easy ones are two licence plate style CBG's. I've been  held up with these over the last few weeks as I I'm trying to work out  the best way to have a licence plate not touch the wood top, but the bridge does, so as not to lose any acoustic quality, while at the same time not covering up too much of the plate. I  have got that nailed now though.

Other builds all fairly advanced, just waiting for inspiration and time. An all pine solid body six string, a solid body lap slide six string, a wood top 5 string banjo, a mandolin 'A' style, a "000' size acoustic and a parlor size guitar. I just went out and checked again and noticed I had also started a tenor uke and a dobro style slide.

Taff

Nice job on the redo! Have a couple gitts I'm assembling for the troops.

Thank Hooch. It came out a lot better than I expected (or deserved). Learned a lot.

Great idea about building for the troops. Thanks!

Its the least I can do!
