Any iRig HD2 - Garageband users around here?

I just bought an iRig HD2 to record my CBG digitally onto my MacMini. I have downloaded the free Amplitube software to use in conjunction. I am going to use Garageband to record. I just hooked my CBG up with my iRig and have hooked it to my Mac...I'm using the headphone jack on the iRig unit. I don't know what I am doing AT ALL...this is like learning to speak Chinese to me. Anyway, I'm not getting any sound, and am absolutely lost here. Any help will be appreciated...

    If you can summon up Oily, he gets excellent results with iThings and may be able to assist.  I don't have enough patience with iAnything, or DAWs.  The only thing that I really like is recording straight into a device using an internal or external mic, or my Zoom R8 mixer - that has actual sliders and knobs.  Ace.

    I did a search for you and there is lots of YouTube videos on it.
    I typed in " How to get GarageBand and amplitub to work on a Mac".

      That's cool. I got it working lastnight...well, at least the Garageband side of things. I've got sound now, and even did a little recording...no delay when I play too, so this is good. I just have to figure out how to get good sound when I record now. Still haven't figured out how to get Amplitube working in conjunction though.

    Ok sorry just google it with your set up and look for something you may have missed. It's a slow process but worth it.
