I have used the Keda dyes.I mixed the according to the directions using a pint of water. I would try using less water which should intensify the color. Interesting stuff to work with, a lot different than wood stain.

<p>I like mixing Watco Transparent Danish oil or MinWax Tung oil with artist’s oil paint. Teak oil works well as a base too? Good luck on this, let us know what you find out?</p>

<p>I`ve never actually used it but having had a look on the tinterweb it seems to give a great finish but there are potential problems. Firstly some people have had issues with sun damage after a time. Not a major problem as I think that happens with most wood dyes over time.</p>
