Since you brought it up Wes, I would like to know how you transpose a guitar chord like the familiar G, C or G, to a three string CBG. Thanks in advance.

If you are tuned DAD, here are a few chords to start you off:

Notion used here:
1/0, 1/1, 1/2 , etc. refers to high (smallest)
2/1, 2/2, etc. refers to middle string
3/0, 3/1, etc refers to low string (heaviest)

1/2
2/0
3/2
A chord (no 3rd, could be used as major or minor)

1/0
2/2
3/0
G chord

1/7
2/0
3/4
F# minor chord with no 5th

1/4
2/2
3/0
B minor chord

1/0
2/2
3/4
another B minor chord

IF you are tuned CGc, the above chord shapes are:

G; F; E minor; A Minor; A Minor

Correct me if I am wrong! I use these to play things like The Water is Wide, and Battle Cry of Freedom. augmenting the melody that I pick out on the little string.
