Re: my  gofundme page, and all the help and support .https://www.gofundme.com/pick-needs-help

Geesh , Where do I start ,? .. I mean , how do you thank people  for giving  your spouse  the chance at quality of life you thought  may be out of reach on your own ? , not to mention the stress relief of a plumbing disaster, and the big worry of “how”. Then to see a rope descending into the hole of debt  you are in , and outreached hands above.  Seriously? How do you repay something like that?

I’m deeply moved by the actions of members here.  Absolutely stunned at the generosity offered,  simply  due to someone seeing me vent and bitch in chat early in the morning. to this outpour of help and well wishes . and a go-fund-me page set up for me . I truly am in a bit of a daze.

Val  (My wife) )  is even more so stunned  .. She keeps saying . “wow , these people don’t even know me .. what the heck ?  what amazing people .“   Then breaks down in a relief induced cry release.  I have also experienced that weird happy relief cry a few times in the past few days . (And twice so far while typing this.)

What can we say .. but ,..

We both thank you all from the bottom of our hearts  ..

 (and Val adds  …

“and from the top of my lungs.)   :’-)

You all are the best folks on the planet, and the nation is truly a magical place that not only builds guitars, …….but builds friendship, character, bridges, unity, support, and long lasting relationships.

Thank you.  Nation.

Special thanks to Dr BLUES  , Whose efforts went beyond setting up  the page ,  but involved  jumping through some hoops , joining  facebook , and more than yall  know .

And  A nod to  Ben  and Shane  for the multi  share and even  editing  cbn. Wow .

And again to you all.

I  just can’t believe this .

Pick & Val.

PS .. I apologize if this “mass thank you letter” may seem impersonal ,  Between cleaning out the basement ,helping val , and answering  what emails I can in-between ,  this is more-so that I don’t miss thanking any of you. And the fact that I can’t comment on the gofundme page without an fb account . Thanks again to each and every one of you.

I felt helpless and hopeless watching someone I love wither away, with labored breathing and rapid weight loss .  not to mention  the plumbing incident and debt ontop.

I no longer feel helpless, nor hopeless.  Because of all your helpfulness and shared hope.

THANK YOU  ALL!

Pick.

You are the best . Words  are just as valuable in times like  these and much appreciated .

:D

At times like this I'm reminded of a poem I always liked. Don't recall who wrote it but...………..

Lend a hand to one another
In the daily toil of life;
When we meet a weaker brother,
Let us help him in the strife.
There is none so rich but may,
In his turn, be forced to borrow;
And the poor man's lot to-day
May become our own to-morrow.

Stay strong, let us know how y'all are doing. If you need anything just please let us know. We have your back brother ;-)

Thanks , reminds me of one too Rooster ...

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.

“What food might this contain?” The mouse wondered – he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning: “There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!”

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, “Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it.”

The mouse turned to the pig and told him, “There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!”

The pig sympathized, but said, “I am so very sorry Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers.”

The mouse turned to the cow and said “There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!”

The cow said, “Wow, Mr. Mouse. I’m sorry for you, but it’s no skin off my nose.”

So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer’s mousetrap alone.

That very night a sound was heard throughout the house — like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.

The farmer’s wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.

The snake bit the farmer’s wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital, and she returned home with a fever. Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup’s main ingredient.

But his wife’s sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.

The farmer’s wife did not get well; she died. So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.

So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn’t concern you, remember — when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.

We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

We’re in this TOGETHER!!!

True words pick!

I feel like we are indeed a far flung family and even if many of us have never personally met we most certainly have connected. So happy we can come together to help you and Val. It's a fact that it could very easily be any of us in a predicament next time. It's real good to have folks who care to give some aid when needed.
