  • Justin Johnson’s session today was awesome! He is so much more than an amazing guitar player. I really appreciated the encouraging and inspiring way he answered everyone’s questions. I got fresh new ideas and motivation to move forward. Thanks Justin and everyone else involved in hosting the festival. It was well worth attending.

  • 2013 was the beginning of a collaboration of homemade instruments vendors, players, and music fans from around the world! People travel from around the U.S, and internationally, to visit the festival in St Louis each June!
Dozens of vendors display one-of-a-kind handmade musical instruments & local artists join us with a variety of their work. We have a unique festival in that takes on a life of it’s own and a build-your-own shop on-site.
The award-winning 'Diners, Drive-ins, & Dives' famed restaurant Hwy 61 Roadhouse & Kitchen serves up cold beverages and some of the most tasty cuisine on the planet!
Justin Johnson performs live both Friday and Saturday:
Friday, June 1, 7-10pm Justin performs a pre-festival dinner show at Hwy 61 Roadhouse, with $10 Reserved Seating and $5 Cover
Saturday June 2, 10am-Noon: Justin Johnson offers a Roots Music workshop answering any questions attendees have on building and playing roots instruments, as well as performing instruments of his own and those brought in by workshop attendees and festival vendors. Workshop cover is a $10 donation, that goes to Six String Heroes.
Saturday June 2, Noon-6: Justin performs all day while vendors showcase their one-of-a-kind instruments for sale. There will also be a build-you-own guitar booth, as well as guitar parts vendors offering a wide selection of parts to build your own instruments.

  • From looking at Justin's online schedule - it currently looks like he is also going to be at the Hwy 61 Roadhouse @ 7:PM on June 1st (Friday evening) as well...

  • Gary Herget has provided the following info regarding the Justin Johnson forums/workshops . . . Fyi

Justin will be doing a workshop there on Saturday June 2nd at 10 am. I don't know what other events he may have. You can check his website www.justinjohnsonlive.com and see what he has posted on his calendar and find out when and where he might be doing more.
