Okay, there are no rules, but there should be some etiquette, manners, respect and thinking before we do something.  And yes, I fail at this from time to time.

I am annoyed when someone posts more than a couple videos at once.   Doing so prematurely knocks other people off the video section of the home page. Once off the main page, many people never look to see them.  Not cool.  People want there efforts to have an opportunity to be noticed.

Kind of the same thing when some posts large numbers of photos at  once.

What do you think on this?   What have you got to say on related matters?

Is a CBG cover of a copyrighted work acceptable?  I thought it would fall under 'fair use.'  But I just posted one a couple of days ago so I'm curious.
Woohoo! 6 hours and I'm still on the front page! Hahahaa!

Not a problem Lou, and not what I meant.

I guess I should have used a different term. I am talking about the situation when someone posts a bunch of songs I could hear by turning on my radio or something. Lets try to keep it to home made music, unusual or interesting music, something appropriate to the site content.

Covering copyrighted music is not the problem, you are not selling it, profiting from it, etc.

Totally agree UJ,   less is more, as they say...(-:

Same here,,,,,,,I've been waiting for it too

If I have done this in the past I appologize. In my case however, I completely suck at computers and do not like to spend much time in front of the dang thing. In fact, since I posted my last batch of videos I've probably forgotten how to do it and will need to be re-trained, my IT buddy gets so annoyed with me. I do try to keep the picture onslaught to a minimum and limit it to maybe five pics at the most with different angles and such, not to good at photography either. I do have to say a bizillion pics of antique store finds and endless pictures of cigar boxes gets a little annoying but is typically a newby deal and easily shrugged off.

My two peso's. :)

Since we are on the topic of posting Videos, how is a small minority of videos posted are playable (can be viewed) in China. I know the Chinese government blocks all the major video hosting sites like Youtube, etc.  I'm just curious how the folks are posting the ones I can see from China. Ans an example, Slowpaw Steve's video "Big Fat Yellow Cadillac", I can see just fine. How did Steve post it? Is the whole video loaded on to the CBN Ning server? Or, are there a few "low profile" video servers out there that the Chinese haven't discovered? I'd be interested in knowing...

(Back in the PRC)

Summer vacation was so short :-(

I oughta start a discussion called "The Nation's Greatest Hits" and have people vote on the favorite songs, vids, pics, etc....
That might be interesting.  Could make for a really good download.

Oh crap....i plead ignorance!   I apologize for loading three sound check vids at the same time and also for loading up too many pics all at once too.

I'm sure it's like E D says, probably mostly unintentional, done by newbies like me, still wet behind the ears.

It's good that you brought it up for discussion though so people with good intentions can learn about proper etiquette.

Look, 362 views already!   If you could get the other 6,000 members to read your post, maybe we'd see some improvement!

Thanks for the education Unc.....I always learn from you!

I think a greatest hits page for videos would be great.  There's getting to be so many videos out there and it's time consuming to weed through the bad ones (like mine).  In fact, I'm gonna pull all mine to make room for others.  Maybe all of us should "self-police" once in a while.  Thanks.
