This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?

I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.

A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

Building? Building what? :-) I'm more afraid of a radial arm then I was of my grandfather's sawmill with that big ole tractor wheel sized blade!

Radial arm saws bind. All of a sudden “chunk”, either jam or kickback. Again it’s the blade, good sharp blades solve all sorts of problems. They are scary though. I guess unless you spend a lot of money and get a high quality saw.

Very true, the right blade does the cut make(my Yoda) that extra $15-20 spent is well worth it when you reap the benefits of more precise cuts

When you invest in a nice blade, could name a few, but the bottom line is when you tighten' her up and cut through a piece of hardwood like it's butter, it all makes sense.

Absolutely, a good quality blade matched to the task is a beautiful thing.

It’s all about the blade. Thank you.

You still need to make your strings.  If you think winding a pickup is hard..................

Ha ha, I’ve had a few sessions worth of throwing things & cussing up storms trying to wind strings with a cordless drill!! You don’t appreciate things as much til you figure out how hard they are to make without the fancy machines?

I was joking but good for you to give it a try.

Sometimes things just come together. I've been talking about getting a new table saw for a wile now. I go to Lowe's web site this morning. To remind me of the part number I'm looking for. To see the very saw I've been looking at is on sale. One hundred dollars off! Now it's resting in it's box on my living room floor. Along with a new fine tooth blade.

Congratulations. As much as it may hurt, toss the blade and get a good one. Just saying, you got the machine, now get the blade. I can post some links if you want. The manufacturer saves money on the blade. Just my 2 cents, give it shot, see how it cuts. Should cut like butter. I bought a nice chop saw, and just tossed the blade it came with. Don’t mean to be a downer. Make sure it has carbide teeth.

Definitely. I didn't believe it made as much of a difference until I got some Freud router bits. They make using my old set of Mastercraft irons feel like using a hammer and chisel to carve some rocks back in the roman empire.
