Looks like a leather punch of some kind, but there is nothing looking like this on line. What kind of hole does it make if you slide a piece of card stock into it?

All it does is makes a half dome bump with a slot. I'll try it on leather and see what happens.

Tried it on thin piece tin. Fram isn't strong enough. I even tried a piece of plastic from a tub, no joy!

Bingo! Give that man a Kuppi doll! All this time I'm thinking some kind of binder like Office Depot does with the plastic splines or for leather lacing( nothing like I ever used), but a tag punch, that makes sense. Even though the garage sale was in town, the man told me his dad did have a small farm with a few head of cattle and horses. You should see the collection of files and rasp I got in the box! Now that you mention it there was a few tags on the table!

Lol just ran out of them, about 60yrs ago! Holy crap! Haven't seen one of those in a forever! Those are right up there with the original "Bubbling Christmas lights" and drinking bird!
