This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?
I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.
A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

That a fine looking instrument.
That looks great. Are going to use the acrylic fret marker boards that Gitty sells?
What color is the base coat?
Cobalt Blue Rustoleum. I have a video of the build here if you want to check it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmYQuLmFsuA
Sounds great. Most lap steels have aluminum or steel bridge/nut assemblies, so it's nice to see some difference and it sounds great.
Your playing is great too.
Moved the bridge back on the Glider about a quarter of an inch. Will be doing the same on the rusty box. Plus rewiring the both of them. Going to a standard wiring with the three single coils in rust. And 'independent' volumes in Glider, Adding a tone to the glider as well.
Lots of projects work eh?
: ) more like fixing what I should have fixed. I wired Rusty up so i could blend the bridge pickup in with the neck. Or the other way around depending on where the five way switch is set. This requires no load pots to work right. Wired it up with regular pots. It works, but not the best. The glider has been wired backwards from the start. And really does need a tone control. The bridges on both guitars were to far forward. Actually had to cut the adjustable screws so the stings wouldn't break on them on Rust.
What I may do with Rust is switch the bridge and middle pickups. Not a real fan of the quaky sound. Also I really never use the bridge pickup on a strat. I know I'll have to lower the mid pickup to make up for the volume differences.
If you switch the middle and bridge pickups, you'll still get the quack sounds when those 2 are played(comes from 2 pickups in parallel and 1 pickup is rwrp of the other), but the bridge and neck together will have a thin out of phase type sound which some like and some don't. 57 Strat's didn't have a middle rwrp pickup, but they were wired to a 3 way switch(no combinations).
So you could leave the pickups in their usual place and wire in a 3 way switch or wire in a toggle switch for series/parallel in the 2 and 4 switch positions of the 5 way switch. The series option sounds really good because the pickups are a bit away from each other, it's different from the regular humbucker. Sounds a lot like the Telecaster Deluxe that had Wide Range Humbuckers.
