What's on your workbench?

This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?

I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.

A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

I’ve seen those all over eBay & Amazon? There’s two versions, one with a mic preamp/reverb & the one in the picture which is straight reverb, no preamp?

Has anyone taken the guts out of a mini looper pedal and fitted it inside a cbg? I think that would be kind of interesting..

A Delay effect. Guitarfetish.com has some of these one knob effects that you can put into a guitar.

With the right control settings, a looper can give a delay effect, echo effect and chorus effect.

In the ad for the circuit I got, they say that resistor R23 is the reverb depth control. If you remove the resistor and solder a 20k-50k pot on the S-G-G solder points you can control the effect.

Brian: That's right. I got the one without preamp as I didn't want to have the signal come into the amp too hot. I figured that if I want to add a preamp I can always add it in a separate box.

And besides, the one without the preamp is cheaper ;-)

Getting closer to being done. 34" scale oak neck and fretboard. The fella I am building this for also wanted to be able to play acoustically. Not sure how well it will sound acoustically. Has a thru neck and a little room inside, added springs to help. I am thinking of remove more of the neck wood inside but still keep the neck thru. I plan on attaching the neck to the box with screws coming in from the back. I did put a steel rod under the fretboard for insurance. I have rigid black mesh screen in the soundholes.

Just don't make the body too light or you'll have neck-dive problems.

Thank you Paul for this comment. I had no idea as I had not read about this issue when reading about basses. I have not placed the strap buttons yet, so now I know what to look out for.

Strap button placement will help. You know that such a long neck on a small box will be an issue, so it may require a block of wood to be added in the box or on the rear side to offset the weight and balance things out.
