This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?

I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.

A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

Kool, they actually used clay dots way back in the day on entry level guitars, it’s refreshing to see that someone is still keeping the flame lit. By the way, I just noticed I’m the 1,000th poster, way to go Paul, your topic reached a 1,000 posts! You know how to start em’ :D

Thanks BrianQ.

There's a thread like this over on the TDPRI Guitar Forum that is over 700 pages long now and it made me think that there are times that something we are doing at any given moment might be beneficial to others whether we fill like creating a new thread or just posting it in one already started. This thread gives a place for all to post if they don't want to start their own thread.

Yes, and thank you because if I made a thread for every idea I came up with, this place would be avalanched.

Lol.

We need a like button for all posts instead of just the thread, but I suppose that would take more server space and cost more.

Does the skull light up when you play? That would be cool. Post a pic when you get done.

Is the skull for a creepy amp or a creepy guitar?

enquiring minds need to know..lol

Watch a few tutorial videos on Youtube to familiarize yourself with components, reading schematics and learning the do's and don't s.

C.B. Gitty has small amp sets. Easy to work with.

Next build. It's gonna be my own take on CB Gitty's Pure & Simple.

Great, keep us updated.

I got my "new to me" purchase on my bench removing the old rusty strings, rust on the hardware and giving it a good clean up.

DeArmond M72 Bluesbird with Goldtop humbuckers. DeArmond was making pickups before Gibson and they were the original makers of the Gold Foil pickup. They were bought by Guild(which still makes this guitar) and then Fender bought Guild.

This guitar is built the same way the Gibson Les Paul is built. Mahogany neck and body with a Maple cap that's carved into an arch. It has a 24 & 5/8" scale.

Here's a pic of what it should look like. And a pic of mine minus the pickguard that I'll have to make.
