We are organizing a CBG workshop held one Saturday a month at the 61 roadhouse & kitchen in Webster Groves MO. (St. Louis Area).  This is also the home to the St. Louis CBG festival each year.

Bill Kunz of 61 has been generous in offering us a place to meet, practice, discussed ideas and what ever members decide to do with the time. Gary Herget and myself are contacts for this club and are open to ideas to make this a fun club. As soon as we have commitment from members, we can set up a Saturday each month to meet mornings. We haven't set a day or start time as of yet. We need to know who can commit at least to a start up and discuss as a group when and how we want to run this. Possibilities are great!

so far it looks like i'll be there! And looking forward to it too.

Another GREAT meet!

For those of you who don't have a once a month gathering it's well worth setting up. "Build it and they will come". I live an hour away. And there's folks who drive longer to get there. Our meet is only two hours long. And worth every second. When you do set one up don't plan on anything. Just let it happen. You'll end up with people playing in one spot, talking about builds in another and trying out someone else's builds in yet another spot. Hope to see more of these meets in the nation soon!

I agree with 'ya Rat, every word. So far I think us and Michiganders are the only ones who take the time to have this kind of fun. If their are others make yourselves known!!

The twenty seconds it took to that that pic was the quietest we were all morning. Lots of playing going on.

Working straight through the weekend! Catch you all in August.

This might be my favorite of five Egyptpunk and I have on the bench right now -- a soprano uke neck with curly maple headstock.

Nothing better than a beautiful piece of wood to work with. I could just see a glimpse of the curls in the neck.

Much to my surprise, I found that the humidity in my garage, even though its been closed up, caused the shellac to blush. There has been gnashing of teeth as I sand it all down.

Been having problems with finishing as well, humdity can really screw things up for you. My workshop has no air just a box fan, need do something about that.

Same here!

Already know I'll be at work this Sat. We have a costumer that's really PO'd and threatening to leave. Company put me in charge of fixing this mess. Hoping to be through all this and there next month.
