I can see myself getting info these. I've been looking for a hobby envolving wood, I build custom cabinets as a hobby but find that people want cheap junk, so the only time I get to build quality stuff, is for myself. Since I've redone my kitchen twice, built to desks, two entertainment centers, I figured I need a smaller/quicker hobby.

My best friend has been playing the mandolin for 25 years and last xmas we bought my son a electric guitar and bass. Although my son and I enjoy a very different type of music (Metal) then most people here and my best friend listen to, I am really stoked to build several of these. I've been trying to think of what parts I can use from my other hobbies (mtn biking and snowboarding) in my builds. My neighbor is a avid cigar smoker and has several hundred boxes he let me choose through, my plan is to build him, my buddy and my brother one for xmas.

I dont play guitar, so I guess now is as good a time as any to learn, plus it will finally shut my buddy up about me picking up a bass.
