Perfect! Thanks for providing the details.

Thanks Wayfinder. That is all useful information.

again a big thanks for joining in on the journey people. the album is so diverse there's something for everyone.

as for recording i used my ancient tascam 4 track and sony vegas pro 10 for sequencing but the album was mastered in studio one pro

Not ancient.............Vintage.............

Some of the best equipment is vintage..

Thanks for the info

Really loved "Southern Man", Merle. "Talking part" a la Eleanor Rigby, from the Beatles CBG album. Loved Eleanor, love this!  :)

not often you can have jfk as a collab partner(!) dedicated to the people who get downtrodden by the machine -

wherever in the world it happens

JFK a great man, despite critics over the years. (Bobby Kennedy too).

Tom, I'm not sure how I recorded my contribution, it seems so long ago.
If I were to guess, I'd say:

It was played on my 6 string electric Marmite tin box guitar and  the solo on a 4 string cigar box guitar.

Recorded simultaneously as two tracks onto a Zoom H4N via the line in from the guitars and a cheapo Chinese condenser mic recording my little Belcat amp with some verb. These tracks were then mixed together with double tracked vocals (recorded with the Zoom's own mics) using Acoustica's Mixcraft 6. The program finally added some compression and other effects....I think.

No worries. I still think the album was great!

Merle, thank you for curating this little jaunt through old Shakey's back catalogue. I've downloaded, and I'm about to sit down and enjoy the fruits of our labours. Looking forward to hearing everyone.

great  job to all involved  !!
