You know, since you posted this discussion, John, I have spent more time commenting, posting photos and other CBN activity than I have in a while.

That's right, Mark.  Texas man like you - what's the best Texas beer?  I do like Shiner Bock.

Confused me with Ron maybe. I'm just a bit, um.... east of Texas.

Not a huge beer drinker these days. More often found relaxing with something Tequila related.

Occasionally have one or two beers, unless its a crab feast, then it just goes together. And my tastes/preferences vary, sometimes a simple Yuengling, sometimes an Killians Irish red. Sometimes I am in the mood for a micro-Honey wheat or something. Anchor Porter is pleasant. My son made a damn fine batch of porter recently too! Never Bud or Light anything.......

But this mixing in tomato juice thing is interesting. My first reaction was similar to others. Ick! But..... I mix beer into some of my personal Margarita recipes, and even more interesting, I freely pour when cooking. Adds a nice touch off character to a big pot of soup or chili.... And I try to be open minded, so maybe its worth a try!

Oh, and my standard notice when discussing imbibing, Practice moderation people, and of course, don't drink and drive. Protect your liver for future needs, like Ibuprofen and Tylenol. You might need it when you get older.

CBN is the first thing I look at when I get home from work ! I enjoy all the pictures and videos on here !! I've posted a few videos lately. My interest isn't declining UJ, I'm still building, learning to play and having FUN with it !!!

i think pick expressed what i was thinking. im falling more into addiction with these cbgs as the days go on. everywhere i go i share my enthusiasm . i love building, because i love to build. I've had good pleasure of people playing my gittys and actually buying them. ??? i use that money to buy the gittys i want. and as i play and have breakthroughs i find myself enjoying the garage more for the acustics than the computer room. but its summer. kayaking . jeepin . campingand moving sorta take up the day. i find i don't post much pics anymore. i guess im too lazy.

I've had several of the Jester King and Saint Arnold offerings, and still drink Shiner Bock when I'm home. Saint Arnold was started by a classmate of mine, Kevin Bartol Rice U '81, and Brock Wagner '90. Kevin sold out to Brock a number of years ago. Still need to tour their newish brewery digs in downtown Houston.

Jester King, Live Oak, are in Austin, Saint Arnold's in H-town, Freetail in San Antonio, Spoetzl in Shiner...

jK just signed with a new distributor to widen distribution...in Texas. They are still a small craft brewery, and are actually struggling to grow production, so not likely to get to Iowa soon.

I've noticed a sharp decline in quite a few of the interests I fallow. I would have to say it's this time of year. Especially after having the winter we all did. It's not just this site or CBGs.

I"m not a psychic. Future? Perhaps a wider diversity of musical interests and styles. Especially for the fretless CBGs. More recording artists playing them. Not just Paul McCartney. A better awareness that these things are real guitars. Now if I were to predict something I'd say a rap video featuring a CBG by the end of this year. But I've been wrong before. I'm good at being wrong.... :)
