Dylan: A Handmade Tribute

Cigar Box Nation members interpret the music of Bob Dylan onto handmade instruments.  Originally released in 2013, this tribute was arranged, compiled and produced by C# Merle with help from Silent Jim.

We have placed all 25 songs onto one .zip file for ease of downloading:

Can you put me down for maybe ragged and dirty...and Highway 51 (not the 61 version as Shanes doing that)?

Merle , is it one singer one song?!Ah assumed this. If NOT , can we submit 2 songs? Wnen comes to Dylan, pretty sure we could ALL do lots more songs, growing up with Bobs music etc :).
I can do a Dylan tune or two think still have
Rablbling gambling Willie in my brain
If reach deep in my brain I can play house carpter where's my capo

can we keep it to one song each guys? hopefully someone can arrange a volume 2 collection in the future.

still plenty of time for other guys to get involved - just pick a song and jump right in

.

Totally agree Jim. My question about a second song was a leading question. It was posed  really to get a clearer picture. I think 100% ALL albums should be "one singer one song". If not done this way, it  look untidy, and not as professional. Sometimes album organisers don't speak up, so well done Merle!

my fault for not being clear jamie, ive updated the main post. i think doing a song each brings more

individuality and a better balanced album.

Cheers, Mel, ma man. My question WAS a leading question, as ah saw others were talking about doing more than one song.I agree: one song, one singer!

Only other thing I would like to see (and I know not a rule usually ), is project organisers asking guys contributing to albums NOT to publish songs  on Nation (whether audio file  or video), BEFORE the album is out/available for download. I think all tracks should be "unheard" until they're  "heard"on album, If ya get ma drift. Just the thoughts of Chairman Jamie! lol Think we NEED some UNIVERSAL guidelines for albums/projects. Seen albums with same guys singing the SAME song. Don't think this is right either. Off ma soapbox now, Merle :)

I like the idea that no songs are heard until the album is out, it really builds up anticipation for the final product which, in regards to CBN projects, the final is always amazing. Im really looking forward to hearing every ones songs.

,Cool ,Chris, can't wait  to hear your Bob Dylan tune,Yer Stones tune was amazing,I have it on my work tunes,,it was tasty like cake.

Wow thank you Vinnie!!

:)
