new tuning

Hi guys, this may seem like a stupid question to the majority of you,I have been watching a vid on you tube about different tuning for a 3 string one tunig he talks about is using the the A string a G string and a high G string from a pack of reguler guitar strings.I get the A and the G but what would you use for a high G string the tuning is A G G octive higher.??? Can you help please. confused.Mal (UK)

Hi Mal,

What sound are you going for? I believe the man to ask is Kenny Lee Burgess, who is an active CBN member who has posted many comments in various discussion groups on his preferred string selections and tunings. You can use the CBN search bar, select Community then Members and down a bit there will be a search box where you can enter Kenny's name and then click on the magnifying icon (about 2mm to the right of the selection box if you can't see it), and then search through Kenny's personal page. If you leave him a comment with your question, I'm sure he'll get back with you.
