  Fantastic builds!

 

  I'm a bit puzzled by the covered soundholes though-are they removable for Muting? Adjustable to play with volume and tone? Super-thin to warm the tone? Purely decorative with the actual soundholes in the sides? Inquiring minds would like to know if you've found a new Cool Thing to play with.... :)

No there not covered you can just see the back of the box

Hey Mal, loving the Uke's mate. Let's hear what they sound like when you get chance. They look absolutely superb. We'll have to hook up one night for an hour, I'll bring my Uke over and we'll have a bash.

   The back...of..the....box.....D'oh!   The difference in color made me think you'd blocked the hole with a different wood for some reason. That latest picture makes it a bit clearer..

 

 ( Note to self: time for that Eye Exam you've been putting off)   :P
