Here's a pic of what aspires to be a steel Hurdy-gurdy. Hopefully the fates are with me on this one as I anticipate it getting rather complicated. Made from the same left over flat bar as my fiddle (kinda overestimated the material for that job).

How did you learn about Cigar Box Nation?: was viewing "the evil one string 2x4 guitar by shane speal"

How many instruments have you built so far?: 2 that I'm proud of and a few others

What do you find most interesting about cigar box guitars? (If you do not enter something meaningful here (at least one sentence long), your membership may be rejected as a spam/bot fake account).: I have a strong interest in primitive and rural music (Eastern European peasant culture possibly my favorite). I started building instruments in hopes of creating new rural a-cultural peasant music with a new array of instruments with their own idiosyncrasies out of materials i had on hand. My instruments are made of steel scrap.
