Sidewalk Bob

Close your eyes and be taken back to a front porch on a shack in the Delta on a hot, steamy night. Sidewalk Bob delivers real, raw blues. He does it with style, and he does it with respect for bluesmen of old.

It's easy to hear that he has a true feel, a true love and a true understanding of this music. You'll be instantly smiling, bobbing your head and tapping your foot. The only thing missing is the scratches of an old 78 RPM record or the background sounds of a juke joint.

Besides his originals, Sidewalk Bob applies his unique style to songs from past blues greats - and makes them his own. He's even put his blues trademark on a couple of country songs. It'll be hard to listen to the original artist and not compare it to Sidewalk Bob's version.

Musicians will hear some non-standard tunings as Bob uses his slide to coax music from his Dobro, Back Porch'r and Lowebow. His picking can only be described as 'tasty'. Hard to believe that all that music comes out of one hillbilly from a hollar in Virginia....

Sidewalk Bob with his Ted Crocker created Back Porch'r

Sidewalk Bob with his John Lowe created Lowebow

Hello,
I have started a CBN group entitled, "How to Play CBG" It is my hope and intention to encourage the "Wealth of Talent" here on the Nation to share their knowledge and skill to further the CBG movement. Please consider contributing an instructional "video" link to this group. If you are a viewer seeking instruction, please feel free to write. If you have any suggestions or know other players who you think may want to post instructional "video" links, please contact me. Thank you for your interest and support, Keni Lee
