How did you learn about Cigar Box Nation?
Been watching Shane and many others on the internet for quite awhile now.
How many instruments have you built so far?
I've built about 12 diddly bows and now I'm building a chugger out of an old tin jello mold, a street hockey stick and a cb gitty stick piezo set up. But I can't seem to find what strings I should use for the 2 string chugger or how it should be tuned ? Anybody out there that could help me ?
What do you find most interesting about cigar box guitars? (If you do not enter something meaningful here (at least one sentence long), your membership may be rejected as a spam/bot fake account).
I find my diddly bows extremely hard to put down. Each one I make is an improvement over the last one, then I find myself changing those earlier ones to make them better too. I've made some nice ones from old boat paddles, from vintage carpenter levels, and old candy tins. I've made a few cigar box diddly bows which came out really nice.I recently picked up a blue granite bed pan to build a shitar also. That will be my first 3 stringer.I do own one, but haven't built one yet. I'm a school bus driver now after 20 years in the Navy. So I always have my favorite diddly bow with me for the few short breaks on my morning and afternoon runs.I keep an epiphone 9 volt amp with me also. I'm having too much fun, can't stop now !
