Old Guy Garage Tour 2009-Columbiaville, MI

Posted on August 26, 2009 at 11:16am 0 Comments

I've joined up with Sparky and Eddie the Wonder Lizard and we're playing in a trio in our garages.

We're playing some classics with CBG, dulcimer, mandolin.

We plan to rotate between our garages and do an open mic.

Captain Burlap & the 40-Watt Spark were at it again opening a CBG show at Lapeer Music/Cup of Joe's Soundstage. Cap'n opened the show on CBG Jar-Tar #11 followed by Sparky and his originals.

Sparky played Eddie the Wonder Lizard's "Space Man".

Gerry Thompson played 2 of his CBGs and all originals. He was accompanied by Charmin Diggs on his homemade CBG banjo and later by the Cap'n on Ray #9.

Charmin Diggs played an original.

Hello,
I have started a CBN group entitled, "How to Play CBG" It is my hope and intention to encourage the "Wealth of Talent" here on the Nation to share their knowledge and skill to further the CBG movement. Please consider contributing an instructional "video" link to this group. If you are a viewer seeking instruction, please feel free to write. If you have any suggestions or know other players who you think may want to post instructional "video" links, please contact me. Thank you for your interest and support, Keni Lee

Captain, thank you for the invite and time last night. You and your family gave me a warm welcome and experience with lasting memories! Gerry Thompsons music was (is) funny, witty, sad, true, and most of all enjoyable. It was for me an incredible first time. I look forward to future events and one day the ability to play, even if it might be just a little. Thanks so much for your support!
